Better oil and engine protection through oil system cleaning
 Oil system clean

The Oil system (other name - lubrication system) is designed to reduce friction between the mating parts of the engine.

In addition to performing its main function, the lubrication system provides cooling of engine parts, removal of fouling and wear products, and protection of engine parts against corrosion. The engine lubrication system includes an engine crankcase pan with oil intake, oil pump, oil filter, oil cooler, which are interconnected by lines and ducts.

  • The oil sump is intended for storing oil. The oil level in the sump is controlled with a dipstick and an oil level and temperature gauge.
  • The oil pump is designed to pump oil into the system. The oil pump can be driven by the engine crankshaft, camshaft, or auxiliary driveshaft. Gear-type oil pumps are most commonly used on engines.
  • The oil filter is used to clean the oil from wear products and carbon deposits. The oil is cleaned by means of a filter element, which is replaced along with the oil change.
  • The oil cooler is used to cool the engine oil. The oil in the radiator is cooled by the flow of fluid from the cooling system.

What are the problems of an oil change without performing an engine flush?

The old deposits are difficult to flush out during an oil change without additives. The impurities stick to the components or clog the oil channels and are not flushed out during the oil change.

Complications that can occur include:

  • Contamination of the fresh oil

  • Loss of compression

  • Expensive repairs

  • Clattering noises at the chain tensioner

  • Increased wear on rocker arm, cam and hydraulic tappet

  • Damage due to overheating or running dry of the plain bearing shells (crankshaft bearings)

Can we proof our additives deliver real benefits?

We are confident that our products are effective and can deliver results and benefits to our customers. In order to support our claims we took several product tests:

We tested a piston with strong contaminations to the use of the additive on the petrol car with a mileage of 200.000 km. After the application the coking on the piston through consecutive application of the additives were removed.

Can we proof our additives deliver real benefits?

Engine compression waste due to oil carbon on the piston ring

In order to ensure the full function of the piston rings, they must not be restricted in their horizontal movement or contact pressure. However, coking, especially by oil carbon, can hinder or jam the mobility of the compression rings. This can lead to a lower contact pressure of the rings and a lower engine compression. Less engine power is then the result. It is therefore important to loosen the oil carbon on the piston rings with the aid of special cleaning additives before changing the oil.

We performed the engine compression test after using BIZOL Oil System Clean+ o90.

Engine compression waste due to oil carbon on the piston ring

Cleaning the oil system with BIZOL Oil System Clean+ o90 increases compression and restores the elasticity of o-ring seal. Improved compression reduces exhaust gases and thereby protects the catalytic converter and DPF. This results into a noticeably smoother engine run and increased operational reliability.

How to use Oil System Clean+ o90

A 250 ml can is efficient for up to 5 litres of engine oil.
